Why Give?

In part the success of any independent school depends on the contributions of the community it serves. There are a number of different and important ways that you can contribute to IPS.

Some of you may be able to donate your personal time to help coordinate special events that raise money for the school. Others may be willing to assist on a more consistent basis by volunteering to help out with weekly recycling programs; or serve on important committees like Recruiting or Rites of Passage. Still others may be willing to accompany our students on outdoor expeditions that challenge our students beyond the walls of the classroom. Other parents may be in a position to donate a ‘gift in kind’ to the school, while some of you may prefer to contribute financially in support of scholarships, bursaries, and enrichment programs.

It really doesn’t matter what, or how, you contribute to IPS, but it does matter that you contribute in some way. It’s important for every family to understand that volunteerism, gift-in-kind giving, committee work, and financial donations—taken collectively—significantly improve the educational experience for all students attending IPS. Every contribution is valued.
