Artists in Residence

Bowen Island is home to an extensive community of artists that include painters, potters, photographers, sculptors, filmmakers, writers, poets, and musicians. Members of this creative and eclectic artistic community work with our students throughout the year to help them discover their creative talents. Resident artists enrich the educational experience of students because they bring to their teaching a passion for creativity and imagination. The school's current Artist in Residence is Bill Hoopes. Bill has taught at IPS in the past and he is a well-known and highly respected working artist.
